The tile’s surface is calm, almost sterile. When I look at it, I can almost feel how cool it is. The work holds a quiet tension between what is contained and what slips through. It recalls the fragility of surfaces we trust to stay whole, and the quiet persistence of what they try to hide. I keep thinking about the illusion of purity, about what resides beneath the surface and what remains concealed. In this stillness, the work becomes less about rupture and more about revelation, a slow unravelling of what we believe to be pure, and what it leaves behind.
